What Is Green Diagnostics?

The use of health- and environmentally-safe products in routine laboratory work is known as green diagnostics. Its goal is to reduce the use of toxic chemicals, minimize waste, and promote sustainability – without compromising diagnostic quality.
Green alternatives include biodegradable reagents, safer fixatives, energy-efficient equipment, and responsible waste disposal. This approach supports a healthier work environment and helps reduce the ecological footprint of medical laboratories.
